(REP) Competitive soccer as it is now more commonly referred to, is comprised of players seeking more quality licensed coaching with additional training times in order to play in a competitive environment against similar minded individuals from other local Clubs in various leagues under the Pickering FC banner.
Pickering FC has teams participate in various leagues in the Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area. Our teams represent Pickering FC against other club teams. This program is for male and female players from age 13 to adult.
U13 – U18 – Durham Region Soccer League (1 Game + 2 Practices/Week)
U13 – U18 – iModel (1 Game + 2-3 Practices/Week)
U13 – U17 – Ontario Player Development League (1 game + 3-4 Practices/Week)
Any players interested in participating in our teams, can do so by attending any open house trials from September 15th to October Thanksgiving Weekend where you can meet all of the players and coaches as everyone looks to be selected for the next season. Annually in the fall all present and new players are provided an equal opportunity to make the new roster of the team before they play in the upcoming indoor season beginning Nov 1 each year. EACH PLAYER WILL BE PROVIDED A MINIMUM OF 3 TRAINING SESSIONS.
Additionally, if a player has a desire to join our teams any other time of the year, they may do so by contacting the Club or Head Coach directly and request an invite/opportunity to be assessed during a full week of training sessions. EACH PLAYER WILL BE PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLAY THE POSITION THEY WISH TO BE SEEN IN.
Please visit our website or contact the club for the online registration and open house trials. You can also visit our Coaching Staff page and contact the coach for more details (see: Competitive Staff list). Upon receiving an invitation to join a team, you must register using the button to the right (below the picture).
Each team has a paid coaching staff with more of a winning mindset as you move through each level of play to be very competitive in each of the leagues.
Each competitive team along with their coaching staff and parents will decide if they wish to attend any local, provincial or USA tournaments. Teams competing in the CSL or OPDL may decide to attend College/University showcases where the school’s coaching staff will be present to look for players for their programs with the character on and off the field which matches their philosophies.
Our Coaching Staff will ensure each individual player develops through team work and tactical sessions. PFC coaches will ensure that all 4 corners of development are present in every session for our young players.
Given the quality of the program, the coaching, and the focus on travel, costs associated with the Competitive programs are higher than with Recreational programming. We strive to ensure all teams are provided with the best possible services.
